This ground up rebranding and design of the Thomas & Friends website focuses on an engaging co-play experience with distinct Parent and Kids site sections. Launched in 25 global territories, this one-stop destination for all things Thomas works equally well on PCs, tablets and smart phones. From products and toys, to video, TV and live events, the site also serves as a guide for using the world of Thomas as an empowering child development tool where important life lessons can be modeled and learned.
Funny Garbage created a modern user experience and visual design to dazzle. The responsive front-end was coded to seamlessly connect to Mattel’s existing Content Management System. The site leverages HTML5 in order to create a platform agnostic and forward compatible website that works on new and emerging devices in the marketplace. The design and information architecture are flexible enough to handle frequent content updates without sacrificing any of the fun factor associated with the brand.
The Thomas & Friends website serves as an eye-catching destination for parents looking to learn more about the characters and stories that their children love so much, and offers a nostalgic look back at the Thomas they enjoyed growing up.
