While competing in a world of minute-to-minute groundbreaking news, an organization that can easily make their content available to users has a distinct edge over the competition. To this end, ABC News approached FG to help them create a Video Source Web Application.

The primary focus was to develop UI that enables users to find and access assets within the video archive. The ordering process was also streamlined while integrating various elements of the UI/Site with ABC’s MARS Database. FG suggested a database integration to combine the best “push” of great content with the best “pull” of user comments, Search Engine Friendly URLS, and an online video player to be embedded in community site pages. By identifying key objectives, FG was able to lead ABC in the direction of becoming the ultimate online news archive with great content, easy-to-use formatting and applications to support audience participation through voting, comments and interacting with others.
