Project Overview
Following in a long line of successful interactive UI projects, Funny Garbage created a Flash-based timeline for Carnegie Hall’s Honor! Festival, a celebration of the African American Cultural Legacy. Given the nearly four centuries of musical work and cultural influences that needed to be explored, FG proposed an interactive timeline that would allow users to easily search amongst different musical genres and performers while highlighting appropriate cross-currents of influence. The timeline’s SWF files were created to be easily updateable via a simple XML file, and the application was set up to accommodate for video, audio, text and images.
