For the better part of thirty years, Americans have gotten their news from quite possibly the most recognizable moustache in the history of broadcast journalism (owing to his fiction, Ron Burgundy doesn't count). Grand in its contour, flashy in its sweep and, frankly, kind of creepy, this celebrated facial hair adorns the oft-viewed visage of none other than Geraldo Rivera.?
As Fox News ramped up production of Geraldo at Large in the Fall of 2005, they approached Funny Garbage to solidify the show's web presence. And, in the true spirit of frenetic, deadline-driven reportage, we were able to architect, design and produce the front-facing site as well as a content management system in just the final three weeks before the show's premiere.?
To meet such a tight turnaround, our team of information architects, designers and technologists led the Fox News team in an expedited and focused planning process to define the immediate and long-term goals of the site. We assessed requirements and collaborated with the Fox team to develop a unique design and set of functionality to support the show’s goals while extending the brand.?
FG also developed a state of the art Flash Video Player and facile video archiving system that automatically updated the video on the home page each night . Archived videos remained available to the user through the correspondents' multimedia blogs, news features, or in the video archive section.
