Based on an idea from Funny Garbage, the film’s director, Marcus Raboy, made a decision to create an animated title sequence that explores the themes of the movie. FG was tasked with conceiving, designing and animating the three-minute opening title sequence in a record 5 weeks. You say jump, we say how high.
Funny Garbage’s work was praised in The New York Times review of the film: “a good-size piece of its running time is consumed by a very cool animated credits sequence, filled with details like a “Hollyweed” sign up in the Hills” (11/22/02, Elvis Mitchell). Funny Garbage also participated in the design and production of the DVD-release of the film, contributing the font as well as other design elements.
