Project Overview
When Aeropostale aquired the Jimmy’z clothing label, they asked us to create a splashy site to not only show off their revamped product line, but also excite and inspire their youthful customers through community features and user generated content. That’s hot!
Originally a surf clothing line, the Jimmyz brand had been out of the public eye for many years. We took inspiration from celebrity style magazines and popular blogs to come up with a trendy look and feel that helped refresh the identity of the brand online.
The site featured a user-photo submission section to draw users in and encourage them to virally distribute the site amongst their friends. These photos were displayed in the voting module “Got Z-Factor?” allowing other users to rate each other’s submissions. The best of the bunch were hand picked by Aeropostale staff and published on BLOGGERAZZI, a custom blog solution designed by FG to promote the label and poke fun at pop culture.
