Project Overview
Responding to Kidz Bop's desire to increase the presence of user-generated content on their site, the FG creative brain trust created the Foto Jamz drawing application. One of several successful FG-produced interactive applications featured on the site, Foto Jamz offered visitors the chance to let loose their inner Picassos.
Featuring a sophisticated, yet intuitive, set of drawing tools, the Director-authored Shockwave application allowed users to combine digital photos, paint brushes, spray cans and decals into their own mixed-media masterpieces. But the ingenuity didn't stop there. Oh, no!
Users could then submit their finished artwork for possible inclusion in an online gallery. To speed performance, the Foto Jamz application would submit only the user's artwork and fuse it to the photographic backgrounds which were already present on the server, slashing upload times.
