Funny Garbage: 10 Years of Making the Web Worth Watching

We are constantly trying to develop interactive experience that could only be done in the 21st century, but still utilizing the great craft and content of 20th century entertainment. The Desktop Comedian is an application that presents a photomontage character in front of whatever desktop image currently on your computer. When you launch the application, the character begins to tell topical jokes in the style of a late night comedian such as Jon Stewart of Conan O'Brien.  The next time you launch the application the comedian begins to make fun of what's on your hard drive-playing your music, showing your pictures, looking at your resume and internet history-all with your permission, of course.  After launching the application again, secondary characters come to life such as the garbage man who blackmails you because he never really throws anything away and the pesky librarian who spell checks for you and makes fun of the way you write emails.  The application is not just a source of amusement, but also a platform for all kinds of entertainment experiences such as playing music, sharing things with friends and a way to generate revenues through advertising and promotion.
