MyMeebas Website

Mattel, Inc.

Project Overview

When Mattel Inc., one of the world’s largest toy-importing companies, approached Funny Garbage to develop and produce a website to introduce their new MyMeebas toy line, the FG team dove right into the mysterious and whimsical world which is now MyMeebas.com!

In the first of a multi-phased endeavor closely coordinated with Mattel’s product release, FG’s team of graphic designers and flash animators began to build consumer curiosity with an interactive game and product demonstration that offered a brief glimpse of the mysterious MyMeebas.  Revealing only silhouettes of the curious creatures, the teaser site ensured their status as a must-have among young girls.

Spearheading Phase Two of the rollout strategy, in conjunction with the full product launch to store shelves, the website transformed into an extensive virtual setting that fed the aspiration to collect multiple MyMeebas by allowing visitors to interact with animated versions of the toy within a vibrant, exploratory environment.

Subsequent phases unveiled additional site enhancements, new MyMeebas silhouettes and a variety of FG-produced flash and rich media ad banners which were dispersed throughout the Everythinggirl.com website.

MyMeebas.com demonstrated FG’s variety of talents through animation and the ability to embody a brands identity by emphasizing the product’s unique characteristics through a quirky online environment. By creating an inquisitive user interface and developing addictive interactive games, FG was ultimately able to drive consumer awareness and future product purchases for Mattel.
